Pixie Cottage

Pixie Cottage sits on Clarence Hill, a short walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants of Dartmouth. The entrance leads into a small lobby directly off the hill, with a cosy sitting room downstairs and two bedrooms above, including a small terrace garden at the rear and river glimpses from the first floor.

The cottage sleeps 4: the master bedroom has a double bed and looks over the rear terrace, while the smaller second bedroom has twin beds facing the front. Downstairs, the sitting and dining room has leather sofas, a Smart TV with Blu-ray and DVD player, and a feature fireplace with a gas fire for winter evenings. A galley kitchen sits alongside a ground-floor shower room with a large cubicle shower.

The kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, electric oven, combi microwave, compact fridge/freezer and a table-top dishwasher, and a combi boiler supplies central heating and hot water. Guests get an annual permit for one car in the Mayors Avenue public car park, a five-minute walk from the cottage; there is no parking at the property itself, and the permit doesn't cover the August Regatta week.

Clarence Hill itself is narrow, with a 6-foot width restriction in place, worth checking before you arrive. Pixie Cottage does not accept pets and is strictly no smoking, and it suits a couple or young family wanting quick access to the town centre and the River Dart.
