Nuthatch Cottage

Nuthatch Cottage stands next to the owner's home in Sourton, a small village near Okehampton on the edge of Dartmoor. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and a bus stop just outside the property runs regular services to Okehampton and Tavistock.

The cottage sleeps 4 across two flexible bedrooms, a super-king-size room and a twin room, both with zip-and-link beds that can be reconfigured on request, sharing a bathroom with bath, shower over, hand-held shower, basin and WC. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven, halogen hob and washing machine, and the sitting room keeps its original features alongside a TV.

The garden, shared with the owners for access to their own home, has lawns, a patio, furniture and ponds, so care is needed around them. A charcoal barbecue is available if guests bring their own charcoal, and a travel cot and highchair are provided on request.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, kept on a lead in the garden areas; guests wanting to bring a second dog should ask in advance. No smoking is allowed. The shop is 1.4 miles away and the pub 0.2 miles, and Dartmoor National Park's walking routes, including the West Devon Way, start just across the road. Some road noise may be heard from the nearby A-road.
