Nookie Cottage

Nookie Cottage is a three-storey Georgian house in Dartmouth, around 200 years old and Grade II listed, with original features including exposed beams and a fireplace in the living room. It sleeps 5 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and suits four adults with one teenager or child best given the layout.

The living/dining room has a gas fire and a corner sofa in front of the TV, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine and a drinks fridge alongside the usual appliances. A private patio off the back of the house gives a spot for outdoor meals when the weather allows.

The first-floor king-size bedroom is served by a shower room with a walk-in shower, and the second floor has a double bedroom and a single bedroom sharing a bathroom with a bath, redecorated in December 2024. The staircase to the second floor is steep, worth noting for anyone unsteady on stairs.

A short stroll from the cottage, Dartmouth's harbourside restaurants and independent shops are easy to reach, along with the RNLI Visitor Centre and Dartmouth Museum for an afternoon of local history. Dartmoor Zoo, home to a range of endangered species, makes for a good family day out further afield.

Nookie Cottage takes one well-behaved small dog, on the ground floor only, and the garden is not enclosed. A parking space suits one small or medium car, EV charging is available by arrangement with the local office, and the shop and pub are both 0.3 miles away.
