Bayards View - Dartmouth

This duplex apartment sits in the heart of Dartmouth, reached up two short flights of internal stairs from the ground-floor entrance. The open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area has a large bay window looking across the River Dart towards the Royal Naval College and Kingswear, with further water views from the kitchen itself. A smart TV and sofas furnish the lounge, and there is a separate TV in the double bedroom.

Across the hallway from the living space is a king-size bedroom with its own en-suite, fitted with a shower over bath and WC. Upstairs are a double bedroom with a Velux window above the bed and a single bedroom, both served by a family bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC. Low sloping ceilings apply in the single room and one of the doubles, so taller guests should bear this in mind. The apartment sleeps up to five and has no private outside space, though the South West Coast Path is reached within a short walk of the door.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and wifi is available throughout. A travel cot, highchair and stair gates can be provided on request, making this a practical choice for families with young children. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Parking is not on site; guests are issued a permit for the Mayors Avenue car park in the town centre, though a space is not guaranteed, and additional time-limited on-street parking is available nearby. A pub, shop and market are all within a tenth of a mile, and the beach is under a mile away. Stays of seven, four or three nights run with arrivals on Fridays and Mondays, and guests should bring their own beach towels.
