Meadow Lodge @ Seawardstone

Meadow Lodge is a single-storey lodge on the outskirts of Blackawton, built for two around one king-size bedroom with air conditioning for warm weather. The bathroom has a bath, a separate walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and the whole property sits on one level.

An open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas around an electric fire, with gas central heating backing it up on cooler days. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a coffee machine, and a small utility area keeps appliances tucked away. A Smart TV with Blu-ray player and WiFi cover the evenings, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Outside, a decked area with furniture and garden sits behind the lodge, reached down a shared driveway from ample off-road parking. No pets are allowed and the property is strictly no smoking throughout.

Blackawton has a shop with a Post Office about 1.3 miles from the lodge, and The George Inn, a dog-friendly pub by the village church, is around 1.4 miles away. Dartmouth is 5.7 miles further on and Totnes 8.1 miles, home to Totnes Castle and a 16th-century merchants' house museum.
