Meadow Cottage - Heddon Valley Mill

Meadow Cottage - Heddon Valley Mill is a one-bedroom apartment reached down a half-mile track into forestry within Exmoor National Park, near Parracombe. Access is via a narrow private lane with speedbumps, and the property sits beside a stream noted to have a strong current, so care is needed with young children or pets near the water.

Inside, the open-plan layout combines exposed beams with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table and breakfast bar, and a living area with a sofa and Smart TV. A doorway leads through to the bedroom, which has a king-size bed, wardrobe space and a dressing table. A shower room with WC completes the apartment.

Outside, guests have private enclosed decking with seating directly by the front door, and parking for one car on site. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted. A shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer sits below the apartment, and a dishwasher is included in the kitchen. Wifi and phone signal can be intermittent owing to the rural setting, and the property draws on a private water supply.

Up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying. A highchair and travel cot are available on request, useful for families travelling with young children. The nearest beach is around 10 miles away, with a shop roughly 2.5 miles off and a pub about 1.5 miles distant, and supermarket delivery can be arranged for those settling in without a car trip.
