Mole Cottage

Mole Cottage sits at the end of an unmade farm track surrounded by woodland, a river and pasture, close to Parracombe and within reach of the coast at Heddon's Mouth and Combe Martin. Level access from the parking area leads straight into an open-plan kitchen and living room with valley views, a wood burner (first basket of logs provided) and a Smart TV with a collection of DVDs, toys and games.

The ground-floor twin bedroom, fitted with single four-poster beds made from original grain bins, has its own en-suite shower room. A second twin and a double bedroom are on the lower ground floor, sharing a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The kitchen has a farmhouse-style table, gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, with a shared utility room providing a washer/dryer.

Outside, guests have a private garden area with a picnic table, and access to shared facilities including a games barn with table tennis, snooker, skittles and croquet, plus a children's play area with a swing, slide and playhouse. A patio has a gas barbecue and chiminea, and a secure quarter-acre meadow gives dogs a safe space to run off-lead with valley views; secure bike storage is also available.

Parking is provided outside the property for one car, with additional spaces available. Up to three dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and dog crates can be arranged free of charge subject to availability. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are supplied for younger guests. Short breaks may be available outside peak season on enquiry, and it is worth phoning ahead to check.
