Larch Cottage

Larch Cottage stands in a rural position near Parracombe, within easy reach of Combe Martin on the North Devon coast. Built on a single storey, it sleeps two guests in one double bedroom, with a sofa bed in the lounge providing extra seating rather than a second sleeping space. Access is along an unmade, narrow lane, which is worth allowing extra time for on arrival.

The kitchen is fitted in a country style with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, suiting guests who want to prepare their own meals during the stay. The lounge has a television with Chromecast for streaming favourite programmes on cooler evenings. A shower room with a walk-in shower and WC completes the accommodation, with the bedroom and bathroom both on the same level as the rest of the cottage.

A private patio area lies just outside, furnished with patio furniture and a charcoal barbecue for dining outdoors. Parking is provided on site for one car. The nearest beach is around four miles away, with a pub and shop roughly three miles from the cottage, so a short drive is needed for provisions or a coastal walk. The wider area includes Exmoor, with its ponies and moorland tracks, and the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth some eleven miles distant, connected by their funicular railway.

Two dogs are welcome at Larch Cottage, though additional charges may apply, making it a suitable base for guests travelling with pets. Internet access is available throughout the stay, and towels are included, so packing lists can stay light. Check-in begins at 4pm, with check-out required before 10am the following departure day, giving a clear window for turnaround between guests.
