Mariners

Mariners is a four-bedroom riverside cottage in Lynmouth, sleeping eight across three floors. The village harbour, shingle beach and independent shops are all within half a mile, making it a practical base for a group of family or friends rather than a remote retreat.

The ground floor centres on a kitchen/diner with a high apex ceiling, an electric range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Stable doors open from the kitchen onto an enclosed patio with garden furniture and a BBQ, where there are views over the East Lyn River and surrounding woodland. A wood burner warms the sitting room, which has ample seating for the full party of eight.

Across the upper floors, a king-size bedroom with en-suite and a twin room both sit on the first floor, with a family bathroom on the half-landing. The second floor holds a double with its own en-suite shower room and a super-king-size room that can be made up as a twin on request. Two of the three bathrooms are en-suite shower rooms; the third has a shower over the bath. A separate WC is also available, though it carries a restricted head height.

The owners supply two parking permits for the duration of each stay. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available for families with young children, and internet access is included throughout. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure must be before 09:00.
