Lower Culvermead

Lower Culvermead is a Grade II listed, single-storey annex in the village of Chaddlehanger, near Tavistock. It sleeps 3, with one ground-floor king-size bedroom that has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower over, a basin and a WC, plus a separate cloakroom. A sofa bed in a separate garden room offers further sleeping space for children if needed.

The kitchen/diner has an Aga alongside an electric oven and a ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the sitting room has a Smart TV. Oil central heating covers the annex, there are two Smart TVs in total, WiFi runs on unlimited Starlink broadband despite the rural setting, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside, an enclosed rear courtyard doubles as a suntrap and has seating for alfresco dining, and a 1.5-acre private field in front of the property is available for picnics or exercising a dog. Off-road parking is available on site, and the property sits a short drive north of Tavistock in the countryside near Dartmoor National Park.

Lower Culvermead welcomes one well-behaved dog, and smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. The nearest pub, The Blacksmiths Arms, is a short drive away, and the nearest shop is around 3 miles, with a wider choice of convenience stores and supermarkets in Tavistock itself.
