Lottie's Hut

Lottie's Hut is a single-storey shepherd's hut set in a shared field at Crosslands Farm, near Okehampton, with moorland views towards the village of Belstone. The open-plan studio sleeps 2 in a king-size bed, with a wardrobe, kitchenette and dining area, plus a woodburning stove for cold evenings.

The shower room has a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Cooking runs through a combi air fryer and grill plus an electric plate hob, with a fridge that includes an ice box. A Smart TV and WiFi cover quieter evenings, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Outside, decking with furniture and a lawned area with a firepit make use of the setting, and a picnic table is set up for alfresco breakfasts. There are steps to the exterior worth taking care on. Off-road parking is on-site, though the reserved space is roughly a 150-yard walk from the hut. One well-behaved dog is welcome, kept on a lead because sheep graze in the neighbouring field.

This is an adult-only property, and six touring pitches sit at the opposite end of the same field, so guests should expect some shared use of the space. No smoking is permitted, and some road noise from the nearby A30 is to be expected. The shop is 0.4 miles away and the pub 1.1 miles, and check-in runs from 3pm with check-out by 11am.
