Elder Lake

This countryside pod sits on a small complex of lodges and pods on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, around two miles from Okehampton. The market town has shops, takeaways, supermarkets and outdoor-specialist stores useful for walkers and cyclists heading onto the moor.

The pod is a single studio-style space combining lounge, kitchen, dining and sleeping areas, designed to sleep two guests. A king-size bed occupies the sleeping area, while the lounge has a sofa and Smart TV with views across the lake. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. A separate shower room with shower and WC completes the layout.

Outside, a built-in terrace holds a private hot tub, a hanging lounge chair and an outdoor dining set. A barbecue can be hired on request for £25 per week, paid directly to the owner, with £10 refunded if it is returned clean. Guests who prefer not to cook can use the on-site pub and restaurant, while a shop is within a mile.

One car can be parked on site and electric vehicle charging is available. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. A travel cot and highchair can be provided for younger visitors. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am.
