Lingcombe Barn

Lingcombe Barn is a renovated barn conversion in a rural spot within Dartmoor National Park, 2.9 miles from Chagford and its shops and pubs. A narrow, bumpy lane leads to the property, not suitable for low vehicles, and sheep and ponies from the surrounding open moor sometimes wander into the grounds. The barn sleeps 2 in a single king-size bedroom with its own balcony, and does not take bookings from guests with children.

The open-plan living space has a woodburning stove, and a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC sits on the same level. Two steps lead down from the sitting area into the kitchen, worth noting if mobility is a concern. Solar and underfloor heating cover the barn, and the kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, a fridge with ice box, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

A Smart TV, a selection of books and WiFi are provided, with fuel, power and a woodburner starter pack included in the rent. Off-road parking is available for 1 car, and EV charging can be arranged in advance with the owner.

Outside there's a south-facing terrace with a table, bench, sun umbrella and deck chairs, plus a non-enclosed multi-level garden and an enclosed front courtyard. One well-behaved pet is welcome, though dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture and must be kept under control, as neighbouring land is private. The property is no smoking or vaping, and bookings need a minimum stay of 3 nights.
