Lily Cottage At Grace Hill

Lily Cottage sits just two miles from Buckland Brewer, a village with a pub and traditional butchers. Bideford is a short drive away, with an attractive harbour, narrow streets lined with antique shops, and twice-weekly produce and craft markets. A boat ride from Bideford reaches Lundy Island, managed by the National Trust, where you can explore diverse wildlife and architecturally interesting ruins.

Built on a single storey, the cottage opens directly into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. A wood burner-effect electric fire provides warmth, and comfortable seating faces a TV and DVD player. The dining table seats two. The kitchen corner holds an oven, hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. A door leads through to the double bedroom, which has exposed beams, and an en-suite shower room with WC.

To the front, a seating area makes a pleasant spot for enjoying the peace and quiet with a drink or an alfresco meal on warmer days. Direct access to a public footpath opens up country walks from the door, and walking the owner's land is possible by prior arrangement. Off-road parking is available on site, and the property has a private water supply. A hairdryer is included.

Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Arrival is from 16:30 and departure before 10:00. The nearest shop is approximately six miles away, and the beach is around five miles distant.
