Kings Stable Barn

Kings Stable Barn is a converted stone barn sitting halfway up a private driveway in Bishops Tawton, near Barnstaple. Entry is via a side boot room and utility area fitted with washing machine and freezer, with a separate WC to one side, ground floor only.

The kitchen-diner has granite worktops, underfloor heating, an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge and dishwasher, with a table for mealtimes. The adjoining lounge has exposed beams, a wall-mounted gas fire and a Smart TV, with French doors opening onto the patio. A steep oak spiral staircase from the kitchen leads to the two bedrooms and the single bathroom, which has a freestanding roll-top bath with shower attachment plus a WC; families with young children or anyone unsteady on stairs should note the staircase is narrow and steep.

Outside, the enclosed patio has a private hot tub with bathrobes provided, an outdoor hot and cold shower, a table and chairs, and a gas barbecue. Off-road parking is allocated for two cars, though EV charging is not available on site. One dog is welcome, with additional charges applying, and a travel cot and highchair are provided for younger guests.

The property sleeps four across its two bedrooms and one bathroom, making it suited to couples or small families rather than larger groups. Internet access is available, and the barn sits within a short drive of Barnstaple for everyday shops and services.
