Just Chilling

Sitting in a small development above Westward Ho, this four-bedroom retreat sleeps eight and accepts two dogs. Private off-road parking for two cars is provided. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00, with the beach, a pub and shops all within a mile.

The ground floor centres on an open-plan kitchen and dining room fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave, with a dining table large enough for the full group. A separate lounge has comfortable seating and a Smart TV with DVD player. A snug off the hallway houses an Xbox, a Nintendo Switch docking station and a selection of board games, giving the group two distinct sitting spaces. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also on this level, along with a downstairs WC.

All four bedrooms are upstairs. Two have super-king zip-and-link beds that can be made up as twins on request, each with its own en-suite shower room and WC. The third bedroom has a king-size bed and the fourth a double; both share the family bathroom, which has a bath, a separate shower and a WC. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard is equipped with a hot tub, a charcoal BBQ and an outdoor dining table suited to al fresco meals. The courtyard layout keeps the space sheltered for evening use after days on the nearby coast.
