Holcombe House

Holcombe House is a Victorian villa dating from the 1860s in a quiet part of Torquay, within walking, car or bus reach of the beach and harbour. The main house and its attached cottage annexe together sleep 12 across six bedrooms and four bathrooms, with three separate sitting rooms.

The main house holds four super king-size bedrooms upstairs, one with its own en-suite bathroom and the other three sharing a family bathroom; two of the bedrooms look out over the town towards the sea, with Dartmoor on the horizon. The attached annexe, reachable by internal and external doors, has a snug with a woodburning stove and its own kitchen and dining area for six on the ground floor, with a twin room and an adult bunk room, each en-suite, upstairs.

Downstairs in the main house, a dining room seats up to 14, and the drawing room has three sofas around a real flame gas fire, with patio doors onto a rose terrace. The kitchen is fitted with a range cooker, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer, and a sun room doubles as a games room with a table football and dart board. Appliances across the property include a washing machine, dishwasher and multiple Smart TVs, with WiFi and USB ports in every room.

Outside, an enclosed private garden has lawned areas, a patio and the terrace, plus an enclosed courtyard with a dining set for 14 and a charcoal barbecue. Off-road parking covers 3 to 4 cars, and a 7kw electric vehicle charger is controlled through an app. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, smoking is not permitted, the property does not accept stag, hen, single-sex or similarly styled groups, and the check-in day is fixed to Friday.
