Higher Gitcombe Lodge

Higher Gitcombe Lodge is a first-floor annexe apartment within the owner's grounds near Cornworthy, a short drive from Dartmouth, and sleeps 2 guests. The open-plan living space has a private hot tub on the balcony, looking out over the surrounding countryside.

The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with an ice compartment and a dishwasher, with dining seating for two. French doors open onto the terrace, and the sitting area has a sofa, two TVs and a DVD player for evenings in.

The super king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating, a bath, a walk-in shower, double basins and a heated towel rail. The apartment has gas central heating with partial underfloor heating, and a washing machine and tumble dryer are available.

Pets are not allowed. Off-road parking is provided for one car, and guests wanting to use the hot tub need to give at least two weeks' notice before arrival. Shop is 3.3 miles away and the pub 1.1 miles, and Dartmouth is a short drive away.

Babes in arms are welcome at the lodge, though guests need to bring their own highchair and travel cot, as none is provided. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the apartment. Being set within the owner's grounds rather than a village centre, it suits couples after a countryside base rather than a walk-to-everything stay.
