High Corner Cottage

Set in the village of Thurlestone near Kingsbridge, this three-bedroom cottage sleeps five across a double, a twin and a single, all on the first floor. Two bathrooms serve the house: a ground-floor bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and bidet, and an upstairs shower room with WC. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. Dogs are not accepted.

The ground floor centres on a kitchen/diner with a wood burner set into a traditional fireplace, a dining table and comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A separate lounge has an open fire suited to cooler months and a Smart TV. Worth noting before you book: the stairs are steep and there is a low ceiling at the bottom.

Upstairs, the double bedroom has a sliding glazed door opening onto a balcony with sea views, a TV and ample storage, plus an ornamental fireplace. The twin bedroom also has a TV and an ornamental fireplace. Outside, a courtyard with dining and lounging furniture provides a sheltered spot for meals or evenings out. Parking is off-road for one medium car, with a permit for a second space at the village hall. Logs for the wood burner and open fire are available from the village shop.

A cot and highchair are available for families with young children. Thurlestone beaches are within half a mile, Bantham Beach around a mile away, and the South West Coast Path runs close by for those keen to explore the coastline on foot.
