Hideaway Cottage sits a short walk from the centre of Brixham, within reach of the town's shops, pubs and restaurants. Steps from the road lead up through the front garden to the entrance, where the ground floor opens into a kitchen finished in muted tones, with a breakfast bar island, Range-style cooker, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine.

Carpeted stairs climb from the kitchen to a first-floor lounge with double-aspect windows, a two-seater sofa and armchair, TV and a cast iron open fire, with the first basket of logs included. A further flight leads to the second floor, where the king-size bedroom has a double wardrobe and a window seat overlooking the garden. The shower room on this level has a walk-in shower and WC; there is no separate bathroom.

The garden is enclosed by shrubs and plants, with steps down to a seating area furnished for outdoor drinks or meals. Wi-Fi is included, and a highchair and travel cot can be provided on request for babies in arms. The staircases mean the cottage is not considered suitable for children under five.

Parking for one car is available in the nearby church car park, with a permit provided; the space is for cars only, and vehicles must be moved for Sunday services, weddings and funerals. One dog is permitted, with additional charges applying. Brixham's steep streets mean access to some parts of the village involves steps, and many properties nearby share this characteristic.
