Harbour View Retreat

Harbour View Retreat is an all-ground-floor cottage in Brixham, built for two and looking out toward the harbour. A private off-road parking space holds two cars, and a short run of steps leads up from the parking area to the front door and into a contemporary-styled interior hung with original artwork.

Inside, an open-plan living room joins the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with a double bedroom leading off it. The bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with basin and WC, so the whole cottage runs on a single level, and a formal dining table seats two for meals in.

The kitchen has a hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge, and the sitting area has a TV with DVD player. A roof terrace with furniture opens off the living space through patio doors, a private spot to sit out and look over the harbour in the evening. Central heating covers the cottage, though a heating supplement applies for stays outside the summer season.

Dogs are welcome at Harbour View Retreat (confirm how many when booking). Smoking is not permitted inside. The pub is around 0.3 miles away and the nearest shop around 0.4 miles, with a few steps up from the parking area to the front door to plan around.

The waterfront promenade, harbour-front art galleries and the Golden Hind Museum Ship are all within easy reach on foot, and Breakwater Beach is a short walk away for a swim in the bay. Greenway House, once home to Agatha Christie, is a short drive further along the coast.
