Haytor Cottage

Haytor Cottage is a stone-fronted, mid-terrace cottage on the Gitcombe Estate near Cornworthy, reached up a short flight of steps into an open-plan living space with a woodburning stove, striped sofa and checked armchairs. All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, sleeping 6 in total.

The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and its own en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC. A second bedroom is a twin, and the third holds L-shaped cabin beds in a bunkroom for children under 12, so the cottage suits parties with fewer adults than the full capacity. A shared bathroom with a bath and shower over serves the twin and bunkroom.

The kitchen has an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, with a dining table for group meals, a TV and WiFi in the living space. Central heating, underfloor heating and the woodburner cover the colder months, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent, and a travel cot, high chairs and other baby equipment are available on request.

A lovely enclosed patio has views over the grounds, and the terrace has furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals. Guests share the estate's heated indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, championship tennis court with complimentary racquets and balls, and table football, across 14 acres of grounds. Ample private parking is provided. No pets are allowed and the cottage is no smoking.
