Hartland Cottage

This listed thatched cottage sits in the North Devon countryside around a mile from Hartland, where a coffee shop, pubs and a traditional bakers and butchers can be found. The property sleeps eight across four bedrooms and offers plenty of space to spread out, with two separate lounges downstairs alongside the kitchen and dining areas.

The ground floor includes a light, dual-aspect main lounge with a stone fireplace housing a wood burner-style electric fire, plus a second lounge/diner with its own electric stove effect, an inglenook fireplace, sofa, armchairs and a large dining table. The farmhouse-style kitchen has a second dining space for breakfasts and casual meals, along with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A separate utility room houses the washer/dryer. A bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC and a second, separate WC are both on the ground floor.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms and one twin room, along with a further shower room with WC and a small office space that could suit anyone needing to work during their stay. A travel cot is available, though bedding is not provided, and a highchair can also be requested.

Outside there is a garden with table and chairs for sitting out, though a stream runs through it and children will need supervision near the water. Ample parking is available on site, but there is no EV charging point. Due to the thatch roof, barbecues and smoking are not permitted anywhere on the premises. Two dogs are welcome, though they must be kept to the downstairs part of the cottage and off the furniture, and additional charges may apply. Wifi is available throughout the property.
