Harbour Sands

Sitting in the harbour area of Ilfracombe, this three-bedroom holiday home for six puts the town's independent shops, galleries, restaurants and the working harbour roughly 50 metres from the front door. A sandy beach is the same short walk away, so morning swims or seafood by the water require no car journey at all.

Three bedrooms are arranged upstairs, all finished with coastal blue tones. The super king room can be reconfigured as twin beds if requested at booking; two further king-size rooms complete the sleeping arrangements. A single family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC serves all three bedrooms. A porch at the entrance handles coats and boots and houses the washer-dryer, opening into an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The dining space sits one step above the lounge, with a well-equipped kitchen alongside featuring an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Smart TVs are fitted in the lounge and all three bedrooms.

There is no garden or private outdoor space, but the harbour and beach are close enough for everyday outdoor time. Parking is available in a public car park directly opposite, though spaces are not reserved for the property and availability is not guaranteed. A pub sits about 10 metres away and a shop 20 metres, making day-to-day errands straightforward. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Travel cot and highchair are available for families with young children. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. Woolacombe's long surf beach lies roughly 6.5 miles away for longer beach days, and boat trips from the harbour cover wildlife watching, fishing and coastal sightseeing.
