Harbour Heights

Harbour Heights is a terraced house in the Above Town area of Dartmouth, sleeping four, with panoramic views over the river, the harbour and out to sea. The town centre is about five minutes' walk away. A flight of steps leads up from Above Town to the front door, and the access road is steep and narrow, so expect steps and a steep approach.

The layout is reversed. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, off the hallway: one with a king-size bed, the other with a king-size bed that can be split into two single beds on request, plus an en-suite shower room. Requests for a super-king or twin setup need to be made at least two weeks before arrival. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Upstairs is an open-plan sitting room and modern kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, slimline dishwasher and microwave. A conservatory and dining room off the kitchen leads out to the garden, and a utility room holds the washer/dryer, a second fridge/freezer and a third toilet. There is a 43-inch smart TV, WiFi and gas central heating.

The three-tiered garden is reached by wooden steps at each level. The top deck has rattan seating and sun loungers facing the view, there is a charcoal barbecue, and a garden studio with electricity and internet access can be used as a lounge or office space.

Up to two small or medium dogs are welcome. There is no parking at the house: an annual permit for one car covers the Mayors Avenue public car park, a 10 to 15 minute walk, subject to space, and it is not available during the August Regatta, when the car park is closed. The house is strictly non-smoking.
