George Cottage

George Cottage is a semi-detached house in Dartmouth, reached by 15 external steps up from the off-road parking. It sleeps 4 across a king-size and a twin bedroom, both on the first floor, sharing one bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Downstairs, an open-plan living room leads into a dining area and kitchen fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A south-facing terrace off the back has a table and chairs, and beyond it a sloping lawn garden gives more room to sit out. Both bedrooms upstairs come with quality linens, fluffy towels and plenty of storage space.

Gas central heating, fuel and power are included in the rent, and a TV and WiFi cover quiet evenings in. The cottage is a five-minute walk from Dartmouth's centre, where narrow streets are lined with restaurants, pubs, boutique shops and art galleries, and the waterfront is where boats can be watched drifting with the tide or hired for a trip on the water.

George Cottage takes one dog. The shop and pub are 0.3 miles away, off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the cottage is strictly no smoking. The 15 steps up to the front door are worth noting if anyone in your group has trouble with stairs.
