Galvayne

Galvayne is a three-floor holiday home built into the hillside above Dartmouth, with balcony views over the River Dart and Kingswear. The house sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms, plus a separate cloakroom.

The first-floor entrance is reached via 9 external steps, opening into a utility room with the washing machine and tumble dryer, and the first bedroom: a super-king-size room with a Sonos speaker, a standing balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower over. A cloakroom sits on the stairs down to the open-plan living space, where a larger balcony with seating opens off the sitting area, alongside a dining area and a kitchen with a slimline dishwasher and a breakfast bar.

The lower-ground floor holds the second bedroom, another super-king-size room with an en-suite walk-in rainfall shower, and bi-fold doors onto a decked patio with seating, a BBQ and an outside heater overlooking the water. Gas central heating covers the house, and both bedrooms can be made into twins with zip-link beds if requested at least 2 weeks ahead.

Galvayne allows no pets and is strictly no smoking. Because of the stairs throughout, including the external steps at the entrance, the house is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars, and the shop and pub are 0.6 and 0.5 miles away.
