Friar's Cottage

Friar's Cottage sits within the grounds of the Waie Inn near Zeal Monachorum, sleeping five across three bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single, all upstairs. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher, and the lounge has a Smart TV. All three bedrooms have their own TVs. A bathroom with shower over the bath serves the upper floor, with a separate WC on the ground floor.

Outside, an enclosed private patio provides outdoor dining space with table and seating. Shared heated indoor swimming pool sessions are free, though availability is not guaranteed and pre-booking is strongly advised. Private sole hire costs £40 per hour and must be arranged in advance. The sports hall hosts badminton, tennis, netball and football at no charge. Further shared facilities include snooker and pool tables, table tennis, a skittle alley, squash courts and a five-a-side all-weather pitch.

Families will find a large outdoor adventure playground with zip slides and an indoor soft play area with ball ponds, climbing sections and slides, plus an on-site coffee shop. Two carp fishing lakes lie nearby. A pub and restaurant operate on site. Wi-Fi is available but the rural location means the signal can be intermittent and weak. Travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available on request.

Parking is ample on site. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
