Waie House 3

This spacious cottage in Zeal Monachorum near Crediton sits between Dartmoor and Exmoor, with walking country on the doorstep and the Devon coastlines within reach. The reverse-level design places three bedrooms on the ground floor: a double with en-suite bathroom (shower over bath and WC) and two twin rooms served by a separate family bathroom (shower over bath and WC). The main living spaces upstairs capture views across the rolling countryside from the balcony.

The open-plan kitchen and lounge occupy the upper floor. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, with seating for six around the table. The lounge has comfortable seating, a Smart TV and an electric fire. A utility room with washing machine sits on the ground floor alongside the bedrooms. Wi-Fi is available but signal can be intermittent due to the rural location.

Outside, guests have their own enclosed patio with BBQ and fire pit, plus access to shared lawns. The property includes free use of a communal heated indoor swimming pool (subject to availability; pre-booking advised). Private sole hire of the pool costs £40 per hour and must be booked in advance. The grounds include a sports hall with badminton, tennis, netball and football (no charges; prior booking advisable), as well as snooker and pool tables, table tennis, a skittle alley and squash courts.

Children have access to an outdoor adventure playground with zip slides and an indoor soft play area with ball ponds, climbing areas and slides, which has its own coffee shop. Carp fishing lakes are nearby. A pub and restaurant are on site. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate are provided, and parking is available on site. No dogs are permitted.
