Waie Corner House

This terraced corner bungalow sits within the grounds of a locally renowned inn in Zeal Monachorum, between Exmoor and Dartmoor in central Devon. The property sleeps 6 guests across one double bedroom with en-suite wet room and WC, and two twin bedrooms, with a second bathroom offering a shower over the bath and WC. Wi-Fi is available but can be intermittent due to the rural location.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the main living space. A Smart TV and an electric effect fire feature in the lounge, and each bedroom has its own TV. The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. Washing and drying facilities are in a neighbouring communal area rather than within the property itself.

Outside, a patio adjoins the bungalow and guests have access to shared lawns bordered by natural hedgerows and fencing. The shared enclosed area may not be fully secure for all dogs. A heated indoor swimming pool is available via free shared sessions, subject to availability, with pre-booking advised; private hire costs £40 per hour and must be booked in advance. The sports hall hosts badminton, tennis, netball and football at no charge, with additional shared facilities including snooker and pool tables, table tennis, a skittle alley and squash courts. Children can use a large outdoor adventure playground with zip slides and an indoor soft play area with ball ponds, climbing zones and slides, which has its own coffee shop. Two carp fishing lakes are located nearby.

Parking is ample on site. Travel cots and highchairs are provided. Two dogs are welcome, and an on-site dog grooming service is available on request. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day the on-site pub is closed, while the pool and waie2play operate at designated times.
