Fern Gully

Fern Gully is a four-bedroom cottage on a small complex of three properties near East Chilla, in the rural countryside close to Beaworthy in North Devon. It accommodates up to eight guests and welcomes four dogs, making it well suited to a group wanting space and outdoor access. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

Upstairs, the four bedrooms divide into two king-size rooms, each with an en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms served by a family bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC. A further WC sits downstairs. The kitchen runs on an electric hob and oven and is equipped with a microwave, fridge-freezer, Tassimo coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge seats three sofas around a wood burner and a Smart TV. Next to it, a private games room with a pool table provides an additional space for evenings. A travel cot and highchair are available, and a shared games area with table football and table tennis is on the complex.

Outside, a spacious enclosed garden with far-reaching countryside views surrounds the cottage. A private hot tub and a charcoal BBQ occupy the enclosed terrace. Parking is provided for three cars; note that EV charging is not permitted at the property. Wi-Fi is available, though speed can be slower at times due to the rural location. A pub and shop are approximately two miles away.

Roadford Lake, around four miles off, has paddleboarding, canoeing and abseiling available. Bude with its sandy beach and surf is roughly 18 miles away, and Dartmoor National Park is about 13 miles. The owners live on site within the complex.
