Crab Cottage

Crab Cottage stands on a terrace cut into the banks of Fore Street, Ilfracombe's oldest street, reached by 10 steps up from the road. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms.

The king-size double and a twin room, with 3-foot single beds, share one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The kitchen diner is spacious, and the lounge has a traditional gas stove and a Smart TV with ChromeCast.

The kitchen has an electric oven and a gas hob, a full-size fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a washer/dryer, plus WiFi, a DVD player and a selection of games and jigsaws. A small outside space with a table and chairs sits to the front, and a further 30 steps climb to a large rear garden with a patio, furniture and extensive sea and coastal views.

Crab Cottage takes one well-behaved dog. Numerous public car parks are within easy walking distance, and full details are sent ahead of a stay. The pubs, shops and beach are about 200 metres away. Stays run to a minimum of 3 nights, and from the end of September, check-in falls on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Ilfracombe's harbour, museum, aquarium and the Tunnels Beaches are all within easy walking distance, and Capstone Hill and Lantern Hill both offer coastal views. The cottage's artwork has been bought from the town's own art and craft shops, and the fish shop on the harbour is a short walk for local produce.
