Byre Cottage

This semi-detached converted barn sits near Thornbury, close to Holsworthy in North Devon, and sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. A king-size bedroom on the ground floor has its own en-suite walk-in shower room, while upstairs a further king-size room and a twin room each come with their own en-suite bathroom, one with a hand-held shower. There is also a separate downstairs shower room with toilet and wash basin, in addition to the three en-suites.

The open-plan lounge and dining room is entered through patio doors and centres on a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included, plus a Smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped and has its own dining table, and there is a utility space for laundry, with a washing machine and tumble dryer provided. Water comes from a private spring supply, and heating is electric, with Wi-Fi included throughout the stay.

Outside, an enclosed patio offers seating and overlooks a pond, and guests are welcome to explore the surrounding land. This is a working farm with resident cats, sheep and chickens, so dogs must be kept on a lead except in the enclosed garden or the property's own designated exercise field. Up to five dogs can be accommodated, with additional charges applying.

Off-road parking is available for two cars, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. The nearest pub and shop are around two miles away, with the coast roughly ten miles distant. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am, and the property may be decorated for Christmas over the festive period.
