Two-bedroom Dartmoor cottage in Harford with a courtyard garden

Butterbrook Coach House stands in the hamlet of Harford, reached along a drive lined with beech trees and attached to a Victorian rectory on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, with Ivybridge two miles away for shops. It sleeps 5 across two upstairs bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin with a child's folding bed, sharing one bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Downstairs, a sitting room with a wood burning stove sits beside a kitchen with granite worktops and a dining area, with glass doors opening onto a sunny courtyard for barbecues. Central heating and the stove keep the cottage warm, and a microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher cover everyday needs, with a TV and WiFi for evenings in.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard garden has room for barbecues, and 40 acres of bluebell meadow and woodland lie beyond the grounds, with open moorland reached directly on foot for those wanting to explore the ancient stone circles and cairns nearby. The River Erme valley also runs close by. A cot and highchair are available on request, and off-road parking is provided for two cars.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, for an extra charge, though pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds and can't be left alone in the property; cats can't be accommodated. Smoking is not permitted, a returnable bond applies, and the property has its own private water supply that's tested regularly.
