Burrows

Burrows is a detached, Grade II listed cottage in Venn Ottery, a village a few miles from Sidmouth in the East Devon countryside. Reached via its own private drive, the cottage sleeps 6 and, unusually, has all three bedrooms and living space on a single level.

Two king-size bedrooms and a twin room each have their own en-suite: one king-size room has a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, the other king-size room and the twin room each have a walk-in shower. Twin beds can be pushed together into a double if requested at the time of booking.

The open-plan living area has a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and a woodburning stove, opening onto a kitchen with a Range cooker, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, plus a Nespresso coffee machine. A Smart TV and WiFi are included, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, the garden has expansive lawns, a decked area and a hot tub, available for a supplement, plus a patio with furniture for barbecues. Off-road parking is provided for 3 cars, with an EV charging point billed at a metered rate, and the nearest shop and pub are around a mile away. Burrows takes one well-behaved dog, bookings run to a minimum of 3 nights, and from June to August only weekly stays starting on a Friday are available, with no Sunday arrivals.
