Apple Mill

Apple Mill is a Grade II listed barn conversion in Venn Ottery, a village a few miles from Sidmouth on the East Devon coast. Reached along its own drive, the house keeps vaulted ceilings and exposed beams from its days as a cider barn, and sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The super king-size bedroom has its own en-suite with a roll-top bath and a walk-in shower. A king-size room and a twin room are on the ground floor, sharing a separate shower room, and a double bedroom completes the four, with three bathrooms across the house in total.

The open-plan living space has a vaulted ceiling, a woodburning stove and plenty of seating, opening onto a kitchen fitted with a Range cooker, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher, plus a Nespresso coffee machine. A washing machine, Smart TV and WiFi are also included, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, a partly walled garden has a sun terrace, an outdoor dining area and a hot tub, available for a supplement, plus lawns, a patio and furniture for barbecues. Off-road parking is provided for 3 cars, with an EV charging point billed at a metered rate, and the nearest shop and pub are around a mile away. Apple Mill does not take pets, bookings run to a minimum of 3 nights, and from June to August only weekly stays starting on a Friday are available, with no Sunday arrivals.
