Burlodge

Burlodge is a single-storey, adults-only property set within private grounds near Swimbridge, about 5.6 miles from Barnstaple. Tall glazed windows connect the open-plan living space to the outdoor dining area, and a private hot tub sits in a secluded corner of the garden next to lounging furniture. The property sleeps 4 across two bedrooms and two shower rooms.

One king-size bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with exposed brickwork, reached through a sliding barn-style door, and the second king-size bedroom sits next to a separate shower room. The living space wraps around a central pillar, with areas to relax, dine and cook, and a farmhouse-style kitchen with a sociable island for preparing meals together.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, alongside an air fryer and a coffee machine. The enclosed rear garden has patio furniture, a gas barbecue, a lawn and the hot tub, with robes and slippers provided. From January 2027, a charge applies for use of the hot tub.

Burlodge does not take pets, though the owner's own dogs may wander the grounds. Smoking is not permitted, the property is adults only, and bookings run to a minimum stay of 3 nights with no Sunday starts. The shop is 4.6 miles away and the pub 2.5 miles.
