Bovey Cottage

Bovey Cottage is a barn conversion for two guests and one dog in Broadhempston, near Totnes. Five external steps lead up to the first-floor entrance, and internal stairs connect the mezzanine kitchen down to the ground-floor bedroom and shower room, making level access unavailable throughout. Painted stone walls and overhead beams run through the interior, and the living and dining room is furnished for two with a 32-inch Smart TV and a wood burner; a complimentary first basket of logs is included for arrivals outside summer. The mezzanine kitchen provides an electric oven, four-ring hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment.

The ground floor holds a king-size bedroom and a shower room with WC. A washing machine and tumble dryer sit in a shared laundry room on the complex, supplied with complimentary washing tablets and conditioner. A travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request before arrival; guests should bring their own cot linen. High-speed Starlink wi-fi supports wifi calling where mobile signal would otherwise be limited. Beach and swimming towels are not provided.

Outside, the cottage has a private lawn garden with table, chairs and a charcoal BBQ. The wider complex includes four acres of shared orchard with seating and birdfeeders. Parking is in a shared car park with eight spaces across the four-cottage complex. The indoor heated pool and sunken hot tub both operate on a daily rota giving each cottage exclusive time slots; the hot tub sits on a shared outdoor veranda adjoining the pool.

One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 09:30. A pub and shop are around 0.8 miles away. The other three cottages on the complex sleep a further 16 guests and can be booked alongside this one for larger gatherings.
