Converted vintage bus with wood burner near Musbury

Bluebird Bus is a converted 1970s former Canadian school bus set down a private track near Musbury, close to the Devon, Dorset and Somerset borders. It sleeps two in a single double bedroom, making it suited to couples seeking a quiet, self-contained stay rather than a group escape.

Inside, the retro fittings have been retained alongside a light, open-plan living area with a wood burner (logs included) and a dining spot for evening meals. The kitchen is compact but practical, with a gas oven, hob and a YETI cool box for keeping food cold. A wet-room style shower with sink and WC completes the bus, positioned at one end of the layout.

Outside there is garden furniture, a charcoal barbecue and a fire pit for outdoor dining, along with private off-road parking for one car. The property has no mains electricity, running instead on solar power with USB charging points only; there are no three-pin sockets. There is also no internet connection, though 4G signal is described as strong. A shop and pub are within walking distance, and the beach is a short drive away.

One dog is welcome at Bluebird Bus, with additional charges possibly applying. The secluded, off-grid setup makes this a practical choice for those happy to disconnect for a few days, though it won't suit anyone needing mains power for larger appliances or a reliable wired internet connection.
