Beckaford Cottage

Beckaford Cottage sits on a small working hill farm in Manaton, within Dartmoor National Park. It's a reverse-level cottage, with both bedrooms on the ground floor and the main living space upstairs, and it sleeps 4.

A double and a twin bedroom share a ground-floor bathroom with a bath and shower over, plus a heated towel rail. Upstairs, the open-plan living space has a kitchen with an electric oven and ceramic hob, a dining area and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove, with the fuel and a starter pack supplied. A permanent stairgate is fitted for families with young children, and a highchair and travel cot are also available.

Private driveway parking is provided for 4 cars. The back garden has a lawn and a patio with furniture, and there are 2 steps down from the parking area and garden to the courtyard by the entrance door. The farm keeps horses in its stables on site, along with a flock of rare Whiteface Dartmoor sheep, and guests have direct access onto the Moor through the farm.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted, and guests are asked to leave farm gates as they find them. The nearest shop is 2.9 miles away and the pub 0.9 miles.
