Bearscombe View

Bearscombe View is a single-storey timber lodge on the outskirts of Modbury, close to Ugborough. Set across one level with a private courtyard, it sleeps three across a double bedroom and a single bedroom, sharing a bathroom with a bath, handheld shower, basin and WC.

Guests can use a large indoor heated swimming pool between 11am and 5pm, shared on a rota with the owner's other holiday let nearby and available for a small optional supplement, though pool towels are not provided. The open-plan living space has a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with an LPG gas oven and hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine for longer stays.

Outside, a front decked terrace with furniture sits alongside an enclosed rear courtyard, also fitted with furniture, and there's a gated patio area described as suited to a dog. Off-road parking is provided for one car right at the door, and guests have access to shared fields nearby, with a river and ponds beyond, for walks. Airband WiFi covers the lodge with a claimed speed of over 20mbps.

Bearscombe View is described as pet-friendly. Smoking is not permitted, and the property is reached along narrow lanes, so drive carefully on the final approach.
