Hazelwood Lodge

Hazelwood Lodge sits on a working sheep farm near Ugborough, a short walk from two country pubs. The single-storey lodge suits couples, with one double bedroom and a wet room containing a shower and WC beyond it.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the lodge, warmed by a wood burner with a first basket of logs supplied during winter. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine and a washer/dryer, while a sofa and Smart TV make the lounge a comfortable spot to unwind after a day out.

Outside, a patio garden to the front is enclosed and furnished with seating and a barbecue, looking out over open countryside. A small pond sits next to the patio, so dog owners should keep an eye on their pets. Two dogs are welcome by arrangement, with additional charges possible.

Practical details worth knowing before booking: off-road parking is provided on site, though electric vehicle charging is not permitted. Wi-Fi is included throughout the stay, and both a travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors. The nearest shop is around two miles away, with a beach roughly eight miles from the property. Check-in runs from 4pm, with departure required by 10am.
