Barley Mow Cottage

This single-storey cottage sits within a farm courtyard near Umberleigh, North Devon, and sleeps four across two bedrooms. An open-plan lounge and dining area with a Smart TV and wood burner forms the heart of the cottage, alongside a galley kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and a Tassimo coffee machine. The super-king-size bedroom converts to twins on request; the twin room converts to a king-size if preferred. Both share a shower room with WC.

A private enclosed patio at the rear provides garden seating for morning coffee or an evening drink. A shared utility area includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. The shared games room offers a pool table, air hockey, a cinema room and a baby play area, plus an outside pétanque area. Secure storage is available for bikes and surfboards.

Up to four dogs are welcome, with direct access from the property to dog-walking routes including woodland trails and riverside strolls along the River Taw. The village pub is a short walk away and the nearest shop is 2 miles. Off-road parking fits 2 cars, with additional spaces potentially available on request, and electric vehicle charging is on site.

Arrival is from 15:00 and departure before 10:00. A travel cot and highchair are available. The first basket of logs for the wood burner is included, and special occasion packages can be arranged directly with the owner.
