Apartment 1, Durham House

Apartment 1, Durham House occupies the ground floor of a late-Victorian building in Beer, built from the local Beer stone and set back from the seafront. A feature fireplace sits in the open-plan living space, and the apartment sleeps 2.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, bidet, basin and WC, reached by a short flight of internal steps that may not suit guests with lower mobility. The open-plan kitchen and dining area has doors opening onto an enclosed rear courtyard.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge with ice box, and the living space has two TVs, a DVD player and WiFi. Gas central heating covers the apartment, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent. A welcome pack of milk, tea and local produce is left for arrival.

Apartment 1, Durham House takes one well-behaved dog, and smoking is not permitted. There's no on-site parking, but a permit for the EDDC car park is supplied for a short walk away, and your car registration needs to be sent ahead of arrival. The shop and pub are 0.1 miles from the door, and the beach is 0.2 miles.
