6 Burgh Island

Apartment 6 is a ground-floor apartment within Burgh Island View Apartments in Bigbury-on-Sea, around 20 yards from the town's sandy beach, with Challaborough along the coast nearby. Big glass doors open from the living space onto a private terrace, and the building's views over the sea to the south and west are a feature of every apartment here.

The two bedrooms sit at the rear of the apartment, away from the view: a super king-size room with an en-suite bath and shower over, and a twin room with its own en-suite shower room. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining and seating areas, with glazed doors out to the terrace.

The kitchen has a microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher, and there's a TV with DVD player, WiFi and a phone line. Electric heaters cover the apartment, with underfloor heating in the bathrooms, and the terrace garden is enclosed.

Guests share use of the building's indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and well-equipped gym, plus a restaurant/bar, though under-14s are not permitted in the gym or sauna. A reserved parking space takes one car, or two nose to tail. There is a lift to this ground floor apartment, alongside a short flight of steps down from the car park. Apartment 6 welcomes one well-behaved dog, and the nearest pub is under a mile away.
