2 At The Beach

This ground-floor apartment in the former Torcross Hotel sits on the very edge of Slapton Sands, so the beach is literally a few steps from your door. Torcross is a compact coastal village with a pub within 100 metres, and the long, dog-friendly beach stretches out in front for sunbathing, coastal walking and water sports including surfing, windsurfing and canoeing.

Sleeping four across two bedrooms, the apartment has a double room with patio doors to the terrace, an en-suite shower room and a TV, hairdryer and scatter cushions adding practical comfort. The bunk bedroom features a striking full-wall beach mural in place of windows, making it a popular choice with younger guests. A family bathroom with a bath and hand-held shower attachment serves this room. Note that the living room contains a sofa bed, but it is not available for guest use and capacity remains at four.

The well-equipped kitchen runs to an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and a washer/dryer. A dining table seats six, and the living room has a two-seater leather sofa and free-standing armchairs alongside a Smart TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker. French doors and patio doors both open on to the enclosed paved terrace, where a table and chairs let you eat outside with a sea view.

One private parking space is included, but guests must provide a car registration number before arrival to secure it. A second vehicle can use the informal parking area opposite the Duckery, or the pay-and-display car park 100 metres away. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply. Travel cot and highchair are available on request, and the entrance to the complex involves steep steps followed by one further step up to the apartment's front door.
