Iddesleigh
Farmhouse comfort on the edge of Iddesleigh village
Iddesleigh is a village in Devon, distinct from the nearby town of Winkleigh named alongside it in local addresses. The 1450 Barn sits on a working farm covering 200 acres of organic farmland close to the village, and guests staying here can watch farm life unfold and, by arrangement with the owner, meet resident animals including ponies, goats, chickens, sheep and cattle.
The barn itself is a detached conversion with an entrance hallway leading to a lounge and dining room featuring original stonework and beams, with a Smart TV, Blu-ray player and French doors opening to an enclosed garden. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, two fridges, a countertop freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a king-size room with en-suite shower, a super-king room that can convert to a twin, and a bunk room, plus a family bathroom and separate downstairs WC. The garden holds a private hot tub, BBQ, furniture and a children’s play area, with parking for three cars on site.
