Cockington Village

A converted mill cottage in a small Devon village

Cockington is a small village set within a secluded wooded valley, separate from the nearby town of Torquay. Mill Cottage Cockington is a sensitively converted former mill sleeping up to four guests across two bedrooms: a lofted king-size room with a mezzanine gallery overlooking the lounge, and a twin bedroom tucked beneath the eaves with trundle beds. A single family bathroom features a vaulted beamed ceiling, bath, shower cubicle and WC, with a separate cloakroom on the ground floor.

The open-plan ground floor runs from a light-filled living area with latticed patio doors and comfortable sofas to a well-equipped kitchen with a wooden dining table and chairs. Practical amenities include a ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and Smart TV. Patio doors lead to an enclosed courtyard garden, and private parking for one medium-sized car is provided alongside a complimentary Torbay car park pass for 2026 stays. The cottage does not accept dogs, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request.
