Zoar Cottage

Zoar Cottage is a two-storey, end-of-terrace farm cottage sleeping up to six people on a quiet country lane, with Dartmoor National Park directly on the doorstep. The village of Mary Tavy is roughly two miles away and has a shop and pub around 1.5 miles from the property, while Tavistock is 5.5 miles away with a wider choice of restaurants, shops and a market.

Beamed ceilings, traditional wooden doors and original slate floors run throughout. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area centres on an Esse Ironheart wood-fired oven and cooking stove, which heats the room in cooler months and is available for cooking. An electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave complete the kitchen. A separate utility room holds a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer, with a door to the side of the property. The sitting area has a Smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and a Hi-Fi, plus books, DVDs and board games.

Three bedrooms sleep six: one ground-floor twin and two first-floor rooms, one of which is a king-size with its own en-suite walk-in shower and WC. The second bathroom is on the ground floor with a shower over the bath and WC. A travel cot and highchair are available for families. Connectivity is via superfast full-fibre broadband Wi-Fi; note that only the EE 4G mobile network gives reliable indoor coverage, so guests on other networks should check their reception before booking.

Outside, an enclosed lawn garden to the front has a picnic table with open moorland views. Private parking for two cars is provided on site, with electric vehicle charging available. No dogs are permitted at this property.
