Willow Barn

Willow Barn is a converted linhay set on one level at Holsworthy Beacon, near Holsworthy in North Devon. It forms one of two properties within a small complex, so arriving guests should expect a shared setting rather than complete isolation, though the accommodation itself is self-contained.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner forms the main living space, with original wooden beams left exposed from the building's earlier use. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a fridge with an ice compartment, plus use of a freezer. The lounge has a Smart TV and a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included and further logs available to buy from the owner. The bedroom holds a four-poster double bed, and the sofa bed in the lounge suits an additional couple within the property's own maximum, listed as sleeping two plus two.

The single bathroom has a large walk-in shower, heated towel rail and WC. Towels are not provided and cannot be hired locally, so guests need to bring their own. French doors from the dining area lead onto a secluded, enclosed patio with a BBQ and garden furniture, and a footpath alongside the owner's fields passes a bench positioned to take in the surrounding views.

Ample parking is available on site, and Wi-Fi is provided via Starlink. A travel cot and highchair can be supplied for younger visitors. Dogs are welcome, with up to four permitted and additional charges applying. The shop and pub are around four miles away, with the beach roughly eight miles distant, so a car is useful for reaching either. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure before 10:00.
